Salgirah — Support
Salgirah remembers your family's birthdays on both calendars: enter a Gregorian birthday once and the app derives the Misri (Fatimid Hijri) birthday and reminds you on both, every year.
Common questions
How are Misri dates calculated?
With the Fatimid tabular calendar — the same arithmetic your community's published calendars use — validated against dates from official Bohra calendar sources. There's a full explainer inside the app under Settings → About.
Why is a Misri date a day off from my local calendar?
If your family observes a different date, open the person, tap Edit, and use "Adjust Misri date" — the entry will show an "adjusted" badge and remind on your date.
Reminders aren't arriving
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Salgirah is allowed, and in the app check Settings → Notifications and the person's own reminder toggles. Opening the app refreshes all scheduled reminders.
How do circles work?
Circles share birthdays with family: joining is by invite code only, new codes expire in 72 hours, and only the person who added an entry can edit it. Your reminder settings and nicknames stay private to you.
